The design of these cars is quite typical, as with other means of transport (buses, cars) influenced by the "roundness" style, very modern at the time of its creation, and could be seen on most ČSD lines, from local lines to main lines. The "Short Balm", as its slang name was, was such a jack of all trades. It served not only as a sidecar to its "tribal" M 240 (820) motor car, but also to other motor cars . It was likewise included in short trains, pulled by a locomotive. The red, cream and grey paintwork with aluminium accessories, together with the original locomotive paintwork, made for very colourful and handsome trainsets, very different from the uniform green passenger trains.
The kit shows the car after refurbishment, around the turn of the 1970s/80s and onwards. It has only short eaves over the boarding doors, the rest is rounded, smooth. but any modeller can of course modify the car to its pre-reconstruction appearance. When designing the model, we tried to be as complete as possible, so in addition to the etched body and chassis, we also supply castings of the roof, underside, interior fittings, details, all created using 3D CNC machining technology.
Attention - the scroll castings are no longer part of the kit!
