The carriages arebased on the Balm trailer and modified in one half for the needs of the train mail. Externally this was reflected by the blanking of the panoramic windows on one front, one pair of windows was not removable, there was one letterbox on each side and the windows were barred. Inside, then, the passenger compartment and the mail compartment were separated in the middle of the car by a bulkhead.
The kit is based on the Balmu design, cat.no.12013. Modifications are made to the front, there are boxes on the sides, the kit also includes window grilling.
The interior of the mail compartment is not addressed.
