2 x 1W / 8 Ohm speaker for T478 series - miniaturized

The double speaker, including the sound box, is designed for installation in the T478 locomotive model - Brejlovci, Zamračené - in H0 scale (manufacturer MTB).

This speaker has a slightly smaller sound box and is designed for installation in the T478 model on the opposite side to the space provided by the manufacturer. It is suitable for use as a second, reinforcement speaker.

The default serial connection provides good sound reproduction for the model, including low frequencies.

Installation in the model is suitable, for example, by gluing with B7000 adhesive or a similar method. Before installation, it is advisable to place a thin beam between the gearbox and the flat conductor of the printed circuit board in the space designated for the speaker - for example, from a piece of Evergreen or an old printed circuit board with a thickness of approx. 0.5 mm - in order to prevent close contact between the cardan drive and this flat conductor.

For connection, it is necessary to solder the wires to the outer soldering contacts of the speakers and to the appropriate soldering pads in the model. 

The connection can be modified to series according to the pictures in the product description. In this case, it is necessary that the decoder used supports the connection of a speaker with an impedance of 4 ohms - for example, the ZIMO MS450, MX645 series. This connection is not suitable for MS480, MX648 and other decoders and may damage the audio output. 

For demanding modelers, we install two blocks in the models, one on each side of the model, and connect them in parallel (with the default serial connection of speakers within one block). This improves the quality of reproduction and the volume of sound that can be reproduced without overloading the installed speakers.
