H0 - Derailment (etching by Hekttor)

The tracks in the set of 6, three left and three right, are etched in 0.3 mm brass sheet and are supplied with heads cast in PUR. The kit allows you to build them fully functional. Due to the large number of track profiles used, we cannot fully guarantee that they will be applicable to every profile without modification, so fine tuning of functionality is left to the modeller. In any case, we would be happy to hear from you with your experience on different types of H0 -profiles in this regard, to help fine tune the kit if necessary.

From customer experience - maybe it will help someone in building :

Received from modeler Vaclav V. : The assembly itself is quite simple. However, the body of the derailleur is quite massive. I would almost say too massive for the H0 size. Additionally, once mounted, there are a bit of problems with the wheelset catching on the derailleur rather than popping out and some locos have a bit of a problem getting past the derailleur. E.g. MTB's cloudy, Roca's 534.1. I have also noticed that the derailleur is designed more for CODE 100 type rolling stock. With smaller rails, there is a gap between the derailleur and the rail, which is not supposed to be the case. Fortunately I have CODE 83, so the gap is not that noticeable, but I will have to remove and sand the castings of the derailleur. It might be a good idea to state in the instructions that this is for CODE 100 track, and for a more realistic look I would recommend sanding off the entire bottom of the derailleur, leaving only the part that has a separate wheelset to derail.
